Successes achieved during more than 40 years in the business are almost too numerous to list, but just a few examples are shown below.
This was a public-interest case at the height of the ostrich-farming scam, with the liquidator appointed by the Secretary of State. Investors were being ‘sold’ an egg, with a supposed interest in final proceeds, but the operation was wound up. We were asked to value the stock of live ostriches, which was owned by the company, and then subsequently sold the stock for a six-figure sum to a purchaser in Scotland.
This UK-wide toy chain had around 30 sites in total. We were asked by the properties’ managing agents to coordinate a clearance of 15 sites at precisely 10.00 am, in cooperation with agencies who were handling the remaining sites elsewhere in the UK. A significant five-figure realisation was achieved for the client.
Following the creditors’ meeting, the Insolvency Practitioner asked us to value all of the duty-free stock for an insolvent airline at Luton airport. We valued and removed the stock, and sold it quickly for a five-figure sum, and were also involved in negotiations for transfer of the aircraft leases to an interested third party.
We have undertaken far too many successful residential property repossessions to single out any particular case. All necessary support is provided as part of our service. For example, we can accompany the court-appointed Bailiff and manage locksmith (for house entry and lock changes), boarding up, cleaning, clearance, letterbox-sealing, insurance visits and more. We also handle meter readings and any issues relating to water supplies or heating systems.
C & K Recoveries Limited adopt a very personable approach both with us and our clients – it is imperative that when dealing with insolvent companies our agents are sensitive with the directors and staff who are going through difficult times. John and his staff practice with high integrity, sensitivity, and commercial knowledge.
